| Abstract Detail
High Speed Botany Struwe, Lena [1]. Toxic plants in the emergency room - fast and furious botanical role play. This roleplay is about 50 common toxic plants, wild and cultivated, that students learn in class. In teams of two, one plays the doctor, the other plays a very sick patient; the roles are later reversed. Each student gets a secret plant from the list as their poison. Patients are so sick they can only say ‘yes’, ‘no’, or ‘don’t know’ for 20 botanical questions. The treatment is dependent on the doctor figuring out the right toxic species. Patients groan, doctors grow frustrated, but are allowed to use their wireless devices to get information; most patients are saved. Log in to add this item to your schedule
