How to Publish Your Research: Tips for Junior Researchers. Have you wondered how to best maximize your chances of having your manuscript accepted for publication? What happens behind the scenes when a manuscript is submitted to a peer-reviewed journal? These questions are especially challenging for first-time authors and for experienced researchers publishing in new fields. Come to this session to learn from experienced author-researchers and the editors-in-chief and editorial staff of the American Journal of Botany and Applications in Plant Sciences. We will discuss what you can do to find the right journal for your paper, how to avoid predatory journals, steps you can take to increase the probability of acceptance of your manuscript, and ultimately how to successfully maneuver the publication pathway. Participants will be able to ask questions in this discussion-based format. Log in to add this item to your schedule
